Dr Anindya Basu is a dual-fellowship trained spine surgeon and is Clinical Lead in the Department of Spine surgery in Manipal Hospitals Kolkata, practising exclusively spine care for over a decade. His work spans complex deformity correction (including AIS), navigation-guided and neuromonitored MIS fusions, awake endoscopic discectomy (TELD), biportal endoscopy (UBE), anterior approaches, revision surgery, and spinal oncology.
Dr Basu has performed 3,500+ spine surgeries across India and the UK, including >2,500 audited cases in his last organisation , 500+ MIS/endoscopic fusions, and 100+ scoliosis corrections. Dr Basu mentors surgeons nationally, having helped set up biportal endoscopic services at multiple centres.
Academically, he contributes to RCTs, peer-reviewed publications, and a Springer book chapter on spinal implants; He is also examiner for FNB Spine and reviewer for the Indian Spine Journal.
Dr Basu leads a state-of-the-art Navigated and endoscopic spine institute for Eastern India and neighbouring countries—delivering predictable outcomes, ethical, patient-centred care, and comprehensive rehab while training the next generation of spine surgeons.
